Synopsis: Every day, Yunho discovers a reason why he'd fallen in love with the singer who had filled his heart.
PROLOGUE::ONE::TWO
Yunho knew that love wasn’t quite so perfect. He knew that somehow, it came entwined with pain, misery, and grief. But despite this, Yunho still firmly believed that with hurt came learning, and that learning would blossom into the fullness of love in truth.
He thought this as he stood in their apartment’s balcony, his gaze fixated in contemplative thought on the busy Tokyo streets below him. There were couples walking about, hand in hand, smiling, and happy. He could see them and imagine that one day, he would be able to enjoy Jaejoong’s company so freely, so openly as the could.
He watched as a couple stormed by, the girl’s high shrills nearly incoherent and inaudible so high up. He watched as the young man ran after her, desperately calling her back.
Yunho knew that love came with pain, he nodded to himself. And Yunho reassured himself that he would be ready for it.
He prepared himself for rejection, for judgment were the public to find out. He feared for the day when circumstance would have to tear them apart. But again, he swore that never would he let anyone tear them apart, that his love for Jaejoong would be strong and withstand all that sought to break them. He swore he would protect Jaejoong, hide him from the thorns and blades of reality that clawed at them every moment of the day.
But it was too early to be ready, Yunho knew that much, too early to fear for something that seemed so far away.
And with that in mind, he turned on the streets and faced the concealed dwelling place in which he’d found an angel; the heaven that he’d slowly built with four of the most important people in his life. There, Yunho knew, that there could be no pain, no denial.
And walking back into the living room, that exact face of acceptance met him with a warm smile. And even if Jaejoong said nothing, even if he turned away to return to his chat with Yoochun, Yunho knew that he was safe.
So Yunho quietly made his way into the room he now shared with the man he shared his heart with, and quickly made work with the book that held so much more than a few blank pages with dates and numbers.
